Access Log Manager
Access Log Manager - what role does it have and how you will be able to use the data you can find inside it.
An access log is a complete list of all the files which were accessed by the visitors of a certain Internet site. Any file which was requested for whatever reason shall be listed, so if you have only one webpage with three embedded images, one video and one embedded text file, for instance, the access log will contain a total of 6 entries - one for any of the six files that were accessed when the site visitor opened the page. A log typically contains the file name and path, the date, as well as the visitor’s OS, worldwide web browser and IP address. Oftentimes you can also find the referrer Internet sites that sent the visitors to your site. The information which an access log file provides is in human-readable plain text format. It can be processed by special software on a PC and used to write reports on the functionality of a website, aside from the web statistics your server may have generated.
Access Log Manager in Cloud Hosting
When you acquire a cloud hosting from our company, you shall be able to choose if access logs have to be produced and for which domains or subdomains inside your account this must be done. You may enable this option from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia Control Panel, integrated with all shared accounts. Each domain you host or subdomain you create will be listed there and you will see an On/Off option next to each one of them, so you can easily enable or deactivate the generation of access logs independently for every single site that you have. You can save a log to your computer by clicking on the Download link that you'll see in the same section of the Control Panel. The link is available even if you stop the log generation, so you shall still have access to the data compiled by our system.
